This project focused on the interior editorial layout of the book, including the design of the opening and closing pages.
The layout establishes a clear and structured reading system, balancing academic text with photographic material to support the cultural and historical nature of the content. Images were carefully retouched and adjusted to ensure visual consistency throughout the publication.
A restrained typographic system and spacious layouts were developed to give prominence to the photographic archive while maintaining readability and narrative flow.
This publication is part of the research project “The Central Cemetery of Sincelejo: A Cultural History, 1878–1985—Social Representations in Writing and Photography,” funded by Minciencias in collaboration with Corporación Universitaria del Caribe (CECAR), Colombia.
Cover design by Jorge Barboza.
